Ag in the Classroom is a program that aims to increase ag literacy through Pre-K through 6th in Massac County. We work with our local schools to do our part in bridging the gap so students and their families know that agriculture is everything from the food we eat, to the clothes we wear!
On April 1st, 2026, Emilee Korte joined the Pulaski-Alexander and Massac County Farm Bureaus to serve as the new Ag in the Classroom coordinator. Emilee is from a small family farm in Metropolis, and is currently attending Shawnee Community College, where she will achieve her associates in Ag Business. She will graduate Spring 2027. Korte states “I am so excited to work with the youth in the counties, and to teach the importance of agriculture to the next generation.” We are so excited to have Emilee on our team!
