Agriculture in the Classroom Program
Ag in the Classroom is a program that aims to increase ag literacy through Pre-K through 6th in Massac County. We work with our local schools to do our part in bridging the gap so students and their families know that agriculture is everything from the food we eat, to the clothes we wear!
Meet the Coordinator!
Emilee began her career with Ag in the Classroom in April 2026. She has a passion for agriculture, and for sharing that passion with people of all ages!
Emilee is from a small family farm in Metropolis, IL, so her roots in agriculture run deep. Korte is excited to help instill that passion into the growing minds of the local youth by bridging the urban-rural divide.
"Agriculture is so important for kids to know. It is the basis for life, it's where our food, fuel and fiber all comes from. There is not a day where agriculture doesn't make an impact in one way or another."
